Scarlett’s mom was a teen parent and so when Scarlett found herself in a similar situation, she had a very real experience of what her potential future could look like. She also felt deeply saddened that she was experiencing a pregnancy and faced with a decision that felt impossible. She knew that abortion was the best and only option for herself. And while she moves through the waves of postpartum depression and feeling a sense of loss, she still remains stern in the fact that she wanted an abortion and that she felt relieved when she was no longer pregnant.
